Many might say the most wonderful time of the year is here: dove season is right around the corner. Remember when you’re out in the field to follow basic safe gun handling practices, including pointing the muzzle away from people, wearing ear and eye protection, not firing at low birds, and not shooting birds off electric wires.

Shooting at birds on wires could cause damage to the wiring, and in some instances, could cause a power failure. Enjoy the fellowship and tradition of the season, but keep you and your fellow hunters safe!
